A Boxing Gym for Ely
The petition
Bring boxing back to the community
Boxing has long been a powerful force for good in communities like Ely and Caerau — building discipline, confidence, fitness and belonging, and offering young people a positive outlet and a route away from anti-social behaviour.
We believe Ely deserves a dedicated, accessible boxing gym: a safe, well-equipped space where residents of all ages and abilities can train, build skills and find support, regardless of background or income.
Petition request
"We call upon local decision-makers, funders and partners to work with One Community Ely CIC and residents to establish a dedicated, community-accessible boxing gym in Ely — providing training, youth provision and positive pathways for local people."
Youth provision
A positive, structured outlet for young people.
Health & wellbeing
Fitness, discipline and confidence for all ages.
Community access
Affordable, inclusive sessions close to home.
